Artist Statement:

I am a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Newcastle Upon Tyne. My work explores clothing as a medium and dressing as practice and its ability hold memories and communicate our identities. Through a mixture of performance to camera, text and drawing elements, my work aims to capture clothing’s capability to connect us to past histories, both personal and shared. This is done through selecting items of clothing and exploring its wornness. Combining visual and text-based practices, my work examines the varied sensations surrounding clothing and the act of wearing them, from their material qualities to their sentimental value.
